Win-Win for Telemedicine

Telemedicine delivers high satisfaction and helps members manage their health and save on medical costs

A recent Harris Poll conducted on behalf of Elevance Health (formerly Anthem, Inc.) shows that 94% of patients are satisfied with their virtual primary care experience, and 79% say it allowed them to take charge of their health.

The same is true for GeoBlue’s highly rated Global TeleMD™ telemedicine app, which enables members to connect with a doctor by mobile phone or video anywhere in the world.

Surveys indicate that 93% of patients would recommend the service,1 which is included as a benefit for all GeoBlue and Blue Cross Blue Shield Global® products at no additional cost to the employer or member.  

Beyond the convenience, telemedicine services can help members and employers save by avoiding medical expenses and claims that would have occurred through an in-person visit.

Oman Insurance Company (OIC) is now Sukoon

Recently, Oman Insurance Company (OIC) changed its name and is now known as Sukoon Insurance.

This member-facing FAQ document provides the important information that members need to know about this change. Communications have already been sent to impacted members and client groups.

There are no changes to policy coverage or benefits as a result of the name change from OIC to Sukoon.
